Nissan Stadium

Please consider this our letter of recommendation for PBG Builders, Inc. PBG Builders has been the contractor of choice for the Tennessee Titans since the team moved to Nashville in the late 90’s.

They have consistently finished our projects on schedule, on or under budget, and in a manner that minimized the impact to our ongoing operations. Our projects always have tight schedules where great flexibility is needed to ensure that we don’t interfere with planned player activities and venue events.

We recently completed a number of projects under that had numerous events to work around. One notable project was a waterproofing and stadium seating project for the stadium in excess of $15 million dollars. This project was especially challenging because it was completed in phases to eliminate interference with soccer games, CMA Fest, and other concerts. The PBG Builders, Inc. team managed the job effectively, they finished on time and under budget.

I have no hesitation in recommending PBG Builders, Inc. for any new construction or renovation project Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

– Robert G. Flynn

VP Facilities and Game Day Operations

Pfeffer Torode Architecture

I have had the privilege of working with PBG Builders on several projects over the past couple of years.

I would like to highlight several traits that exemplify the unique approach they bring to their projects.

Quality of Work – PBG has built a strong network of qualified dedicated subcontractors and craftsmen to perform their work. In the current turbulent period of construction in our area, the retention of this core workforce is a testament to the professionalism of the management team. The construction personnel know that on a PBG project they are going to have the opportunity to perform the work with high quality, in sequence, on time and with good project controls.

Quality of Management – PBG possesses a strong, complimentary team throughout the various organizational roles. The field superintendents are highly knowledgeable and respected construction veterans with long tenures with PBG. Even with these high caliber superintendents constantly on site, the senior management Is extremely involved on a day to day basis with every project. The management systems and protocols are extremely well defined and closely followed. The administration diligently supports the field and senior management.

Quality of Analysis – Given PBG’s regular role in construction management, owner’s representation, and expert witness testimony, they have a broad understanding of industry best practices and marketplace trends. In many aspects. this breadth of work allows PBG to offer the best aspects of a large construction firm such as extremely competitive pricing and rigorous process controls along with the best aspects of a small construction firm, such as close, day-to-day oversight from and relationships with senior management and innovative project specific problem solving. I strongly advocate for bringing PBG Builders into a project as early as possible to allow the project to benefit from their ability to analyze and establish the construction budget, the construction schedule and the overall constructability of the project.

Quality of Communication – I think the quality I would most highly recommend PBG’s emphasis on communication which cannot be underestimated on a construction project. With any project, regardless of the drawing set or the scope of the project, there will be a thousand questions or potential issues. PBG’s default nature is to bring these potential items to light as early in the process as possible, communicate the potential impact on the schedule, budget or quality and offer solutions that allow the project team to successfully move forward. I think that PBG Builders is committed to proactive communication to afford the entire project team the best possible project outcome.

Safe Harbor Development

“I have worked with John Finch and the PBG Builders’ team for the last five years and would confidently recommend them for any of your construction needs.  John and his team have been involved in all of my recent commercial construction projects ranging from the Margaritaville Hotel in Nashville to RV parks and marina projects across the Southeast. Acting as our Owner’s representative, they have helped manage the construction teams with frequent, direct, detailed communication and directions in order to complete projects on time and on budget.  On many of our projects, they have stepped outside of the typical “Owner’s Representative” role to assist with due diligence prior to purchasing a property, estimate projects on the front end, facilitate design, and negotiate contracts.

As a developer, being able to give PBG Builders the reins to facilitate projects has allowed me to concentrate on the big picture and continue to find new projects.

If I can provide any additional accolades for John Finch and the whole PBG Builders team, please feel to reach out. “

-Darby Campbell, Owner

I started working with John Finch and the PBG Builder team as our Owner’s Representative for the Margaritaville Hotel Nashville, a project that took over 2 years. I can easily say they have not only worked well with us on that project and many more, but they have also made our jobs at Safe Harbor Development easier.

John has more than 40 years in the industry which serves him well in leading his team. They are great communicator with timely and effective communication skills and strong work ethic. They are extremely thorough and detailed in their work to ensure projects are complete within budget and on time. With all the stress and complications Owners and businesses face in daily work, PBG takes a lot off your plate, and you know that your projects will be handled well.

Without question I would recommend PBG Builders, Inc. to anyone. They give direction and leadership and work hands on with their clines in a way that surpasses the rest in the industry.

It takes a real commitment to such a philosophy to make projects stand out to design professionals as exemplary quality.”

“Through construction projects I have been involved with on five campuses over nearly 30 years, it has become apparent to me that you can have quality construction, on time or under budget-pick one-but you only get one. In a few rare cases you might get two of the three. With Powell Building Group on our Student Apartment Project we got all three.
