Rhodia Chemical Plant
We began the project with demolition of the concrete slab so we could excavate another seven feet below the existing grade. A new, four-foot thick concrete foundation/slab, with a four-foot retaining wall, was then formed.
Features included:
- 10’ X 6’ X 5’ sump pit with stainless steel lining and anchor bolts
- Fabrication of structural piers and a separate foundation for a 12’ X 45’ future building
- Fabrication of structural piers for Phase II pipe rack
- A six-story steel structure
- Placement of six chemical tanks, ranging from 6,0000 to 35,000 pounds
