Gladys Stringfield Owen Continuing Education Center
A renovation as well as an addition comprised this project on the campus of Nashville’s Baptist Hospital. The renovated area consists of 15,200 square feet, while the addition covers 37,800 square feet. Construction is concrete basement slab on grade, and concrete foundation walls with suspended concrete floor slab. The building is structural steel with masonry walls and limestone veneer.
The center contains five meeting rooms of between 800 and 1,500 square feet, one 5,000 square foot meeting room and an auditorium that seats 110. The entire project was completed in 11 months.
