Certifications
Because we’re passionate about our profession, our principals and top executives are members of several industry societies and trade groups. They include:
- American Institute of Constructors
A counterpart of professional organizations in law, engineering and architecture, AIC establishes professional status, sets standards, and raises standards of practice for the entire construction industry.
Our staff includes two Certified Professional Constructors (CPCs) and five Associate Constructors; We have 2 of only 11 Certified Professional Constructors in Tennessee and 5 of only 10 Associate Constructors (ACs) in Tennessee. PBG Builders has 18 percent of the total CPCs in the state, and half of all the ACs in the state.
- US Green Building Council
Our staff includes 2 managers who have obtained their certification as LEED Accredited Professionals.
- Associated General Contractors
AGC is an organization of highly qualified construction contractors and related companies dedicated to skill, integrity, and responsibility in the industry.
John Finch is President of the AGC of Tennessee for 2006/2007 and is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Middle Tennessee Chapter.
- American Society of Healthcare Engineering
Tim Prow, our Executive Vice President, has been certified as a Healthcare Constructor from this society committed to healthcare construction trends and issues.
- Certified Public Accountants
Martin Maguire, our Chief Financial Officer, is a CPA
- Construction Financial Management Association
Martin Maguire is an active member of this networking and education organization for financial executives of construction companies.
